Meet Sadie. Sadie is a Black Lab that we adopted two weeks ago. She is four months old and chews on everything! She is a cute puppy though. Does anybody have any great training advice? We need it!
Hey there, congrats on the new addition. At one point, I had 3 labs, a Black, yellow, and Chocolate. As far as the chewing, I tried everything. They went through toys like water, and furniture, and rugs, and paper. Well I went to Petsmart and in there section where they have rawhide bones, there are also real type bones, they have these and they are white and wrapped in plastic, they come in 3 sizes, I got those and they loved then, they lasted long, they never got bored and it stopped the chewing. Also in between and through out the day, I gave them ice cubes, they chewed on them as well and it helped a lot. So after many, many attempts, those two things worked out great. Since my labs passed, I now have 4 min pins and one chihuahua, and from the start I used these things and never had them chew anything other then those and their toys. Hope that helps. Good luck !!
